Siggi Eggertsson was born in Akureyri, Iceland, in 1984. Drawing and computers were his passion from childhood. Studied Graphic Design, but before graduation he realized his bigger love was illustration and typography. In 2005, while still studying he was selected from Print Magazine for their New Visual Artists, as one of 20 brightest design stars under the age of 30.
In 2009 he was selected as the highest ranking winner of The Art Directors Club’s YG7. Today he lives and works in Berlin working on personal, commercial projects and illustrations but he has also started writing, giving lectures and workshops, doing some tests with animation, trying to take his own typography to the next level and so on…
