Giulia Spanghero loves… rock ‘n’ roll!! So much, that during the 90’s she was the frontwoman of an underground group called Ulla. Then time intervened, Ulla disbanded despite having touched success, and everyone went their own way. Giulia graduated, then won a selection to enter as an aspiring screenwriter at the Disney Academy in Milan, and for a while actually worked at the home of the most famous mouse in the world. Then, conscious of the fact that it was not her thing even if it was fun, she left Milan for Friuli, in the NorthEast of Italy, and returned to her old love, not rock’n’roll but design. She attended a course in graphic design for the second time, and muddled along doing different jobs. She became part of the Hybrida collective doing a lot of concerts, posters and lightshows. Then, the turning point happened when she became a designer of wooden toys at Trudi SpA of Tarcento, a big toy company in Italy, but fate had something else in store for her, so after a few years she resigned and embraced life as a freelancer. Now she is happy, singing rock’n’roll only while driving. She designs and continues to be part of Hybrida. Visit Giulia’s Spanghero portfolio at http://www.giuliaspanghero.com
