Noma Bar’s work is minimalistic, yet so clever! His work provides stark political or social commentary within simple graphic forms.
Born in Israel in 1973, Noma Bar studied graphic design and typography at the Jerusalem Academy of Art & Design. He has been based in London since 2001. In 2003, Noma received his first national magazine commission from Time Out London, and since then he has worked for an array of media clients. He has illustrated over sixty magazine covers, published over 550 illustrations and released two books of his work through Mark Batty Publisher: ‘Guess Who – The Many Faces of Noma Bar’, in 2008 and ‘Negative Space’ in early 2009.
